Hundreds lined up before the doors even opened at 10am. One crazy nut even got there at 2am the night before.
The Diamondback was PACKED with Hopefulls Our Judges - Trevor, Holly & Nashville Star 2 contestant and local songbird Rachel Williams It started with an Email from the Nashville Star offices in late August. Within a few weeks DetroitCountryMusic.com had been selected to host the Nashville Star 3 Auditions here in Detroit. With Many thanks to the owner Russ, we secured the Diamondback Saloon in Belleville for the two day event. Weeks of planning, promotion and preparation followed leading up to the November 22nd start here in the Motor City. I want to personally thank B-95 in Flint and Coyote Collins for the efforts that WFBE put forth to promote the contest at NO CHARGE. They even offered to come down and help host the event. It would have been wonderful if every radio station in the area stepped up like they did... WFBE is a shining example of how radio can get behind local talent. Special Thanks also go out to my Dream Team of Production Assistants - Terrie, Debbie, Noreen, Vicki, Janel, Pam and Heather. Besides being the best looking team around, you made the auditions go much smoother and be much more enjoyable... Love you all.
