Singer, Crystal Gauthier has emerged over the past six years as one of the leading artists of a new generation of female musical voices. In 1993, accompanying a live band, Crystal won 2nd place in her first singing competition. During the next five years and currently, Crystal continues to compete and showcase her musical talents earning her several prestigious awards. She was a finalist at the Western Fair in 1999, first place in Pain Court 1999, first and second in Essex.
In 1998, Crystal toured with a country band all over Ontario, Michigan and down in Nashville. This is when she took a further interest in country music and has developed her own country style.
Crystal's talents have allowed her to share the spot light with Top Olympic and World figure skaters including Kurt Browning, Elvis Stojko, Nancy Kerrigan, Kristi Yamaguchi, Brian Orser, Elizabeth Manley, Shae Lynn Bourne and Victor Kraatz, Isabelle Brasseur and Lloyd Eisler to name a few. March 1999, Crystal found herself performing along side the 2-time Juno Award, and 3-time Grammy nominee Tamia Washington during a concert to benefit P.A.R.T.Y.
Her own self produced show/concert demonstrates her ability to mingle with her audience, dance up a storm and belt out favorites and originals for everyone. Crystal was asked to demonstrate some of her talents at the Michigan State Fair, which lead to doing a production of "Snow White" in Tennessee and her own stage show. Because of Crystal's hard work and showmanship she was asked to headline the "Windsor Riverfront Millennium Extravaganza". She performed on the Disney World stage in Florida in April of 2000 again being recognized for her lively stage presence. She has recently completed a stage production of "Grease" and just returned from Texas in May where she performed at the South Plains Texas Fair that landed her two large show returns in July and November.
Crystal then returned to Tennessee where she took to the stage in Morristown in June. During the summer of 2000, Crystal performed at many jamborees, fairs, weddings and special events throughout Ontario. Crystal released her 1st CD in the fall of 1998, which generated 1500 units in sales and is currently preparing her 2nd CD due for release in the spring of 2001. Crystal appeared again in Florida at the Snowbird Extravaganza in January. She is now traveling with a band and continues to support many charity events. Crystal is meeting the industry with high respect and with people who love her entertaining stage presence, which has been labeled second to none.
